We are working to ensure the technological literacy of New York State students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>¾«¶«Ó°Òµcreates and encourages opportunities for professional development and collaboration of Technology teachers. We support student participation and achievement in technology learning activities and competitions. Our organization is not for profit and is guided by an Executive Board and an Advisory Council.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Membership in this professional organization strengthens our profession. The benefits of membership and the accomplishments of the organization are numerous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Facilitate the sharing of Technology and Engineering best practices and resources<\/li><li>CTLE certified professional development workshops<\/li><li>Relevant and meaningful professional development conferences<\/li><li>Networks of local organizations with mini conferences around the state<\/li><li>Awards for outstanding educators and programs<\/li><li>Future Technology &amp; Engineering Educators student scholarship fund<\/li><li>Grants for classroom teaching supplies and activities<\/li><li>Support for STEM student competitions around NYS<\/li><li>Development of technology content that aligns with State and National standards<\/li><li>Update of middle level and high school curricula and standards<\/li><li>Maintain contact with the State Education Department<\/li><li>Monitor legislative and political and Board of Regents actions<\/li><li>Active social media accounts<\/li><li>Distribution of pertinent information to members<\/li><li>Promote Technology Education within the industrial and business community<\/li><li>Expand our relationships with the math and science professional community<\/li><li>Data about students&#8217; engagement in Technology &amp; Engineering Education<\/li><li>Partners with other State, National and International organizations of similar interests<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The New York State Technology and Engineering Educators Association (NYSTEEA) promotes and encourages excellence in Technology &amp; Engineering Education around New York State.
